The Salvation Army of Jackson Feeding Tornado Victims in Clinton and NE Jackson

Jackson, MS – The Salvation Army of Jackson is on site at the incident command post located at the Clinton Big Lots and will be feeding tornado victims, emergency personnel and volunteers.

The mobile feeding unit is stocked to feed more than 500 people and will be on hand both Saturday and Sunday.

“The damage from this tornado is as bad as or even worse than what we saw inYazoo City. The affected area is not as large but the severity of damage seems to be greater. There are so many homes that have sustained incredible damage. We are assessing the damage and putting a plan together to meet the material needs of these tornado victims,” said Captain Ken Chapman.

North East Jackson is being served hot meals out of ourPresto Lanelocation through ourCenterofHopeshelter.

Captain Ken Chapman and the Jackson Corps are rotating between the two sites to insure that all tornado victims are served.
